Impact of crooked teeth

Abnormal bite:

  • Deep bite.
    The upper incisors overlap the lower for the entire length of the crown of the tooth with closed molars. The cutting edge of the lower incisors is in contact with the mucous of the sky. Visually reduced face.
  • Mesial
    The lower incisors overlap the upper ones by more than half the length of the tooth crown with the molars closed. This bite is called "heavy chin."
  • Open.
    There is no contact between the incisors of both jaws with molars closed. Characterized by sunken cheeks and open mouth.
  • Cross.
    Improper overlap of the dentition and the shift of the jaws to the left or right. Severe facial asymmetry.
