All three strongly doubted the success, but the money was paid by Ida huge, and Fokin literally from scratch began to teach her to move.
Soon, however, the Holy Synod banned the production, calling it anti-church. And then Rubinstein and Fokine decided to show only the “Dance of the Seven Veils”, in the final of which Salome, dropping seven transparent shawls, remained in some beads. Music to dance Ida ordered Glazunov.

In 1939, hastily leaving Paris after the occupation of the Germans, Ida moved to England, where she went to work as a sister of mercy in a London hospital.
After the war, she returned to France, but not to Paris, but a province, adopted Catholicism, lived very lonely.
She died of a heart attack in 1960, leaving clear orders for her funeral.The woman, whose sense of life was once famous at all costs, has now done everything to get rid of the pump: a ban on notification in newspapers, the secret of cremation and burial time.
